The Dzogchen teachings are the highest and most direct teachings of the Buddha on the nature of mind. In this retreat we will discover our own inner beauty and realize the everlasting peace of liberation for ourselves and all beings. Lama Chokyidhakpa (Michael Gregory) former Buddhist Monk, Leading Buddhist Teacher and Founder of Mindfulness Meditation Centers. He will give these rare and essential heart instructions according to the great 14th century Dzogchen master, Longchenpa, from The Basic Space of Phenomena Tantra. This will be the first retreat held at our new retreat center, Quiet Mind Mountain, in Julian California and will be offered to MMC Members first, for the week, January 13 -19, before being made open to the public so our sangha may have the first opportunity to attend this beautiful retreat.

"Naturally occurring timeless awareness—utterly lucid awakened mind—is something marvelous and superb, primordially and spontaneously present.

It is the treasury from which comes the universe of appearances and possibilities, whether of samsara or nirvana.

Homage to the unwavering state, free of elaborations."

- Longchenpa

Clear and lucid teachings and meditations allow for a deep inner and outer release of suffering roles, patterns and identity into the vast and radiant nature of mind. The freedom of knowing your true nature, brings true happiness and peace and awakening in every moment. This retreat offers a precious opportunity to awaken to the spontaneously present nature of mind and be free of all suffering. This naturally- abiding, uncontrived nature is already fully present in all living beings without exception.

Relax into deep peace and relaxation with daily restorative tibetan yoga, experience deep meditation, enjoy organic meals and practice in the seclusion of inner and outer silence.

Join our beautiful community of heartfelt meditators and contemplatives for a rare opportunity to hear Ven. Chokyidhakpa teach on this subject and follow in the footsteps of the ancient lineage of Nyingmas. We will put these rare and precious teachings into practice with joy and devotion.

Held in noble silence, this retreat is arranged to provide a space to receive the pith instructions and deepen personal dzogchen meditation with the guidance of a wise and practiced teacher.

All are welcome although a minimum of one hour daily commitment to meditation is required for attendance. Students are required to pre-register at the earliest convenience as space is limited and other preparations need to be made so that we all may enjoy a harmonious and restful retreat.

The daily schedule will offer one morning teaching session, one Tibetan yoga session, several meditation sessions along with breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner breaks.

Retreat into the beautiful rolling hills and lakes of Julian California, as spring blossoms in the natural environment, you too can begin a new and transformative chapter of life and inner awakening.
