Tonight begins our twelve week teaching and meditation series on the classic Buddhist text, “A Guide to the Bodhisattvas Way of Life,” by Master Shantideva.
This series will be available live at 4pm PST on the Mindfulness Meditation Centers Facebook Page by donation only and also recorded and available for later viewing as well.
Subjects include teachings and meditations on the Perfection of Generosity, Ethical Conduct, Patience, Joyful Effort, Concentration and Wisdom with a special emphasis on how to apply these principles to the crisis we face as individuals and a society as a whole.
The primary emphasis of the course however will be on the cultivation of bodhicitta - the direct realization of the nature of the mind imbued with both compassion and love.
All are welcome to join regardless of background. This is a serious Buddhist study and meditation course that is traditionally offered as part of Buddhist monastic education. Be prepared to take lots of notes and we have online quizzes and qualified meditation instructors available for all who wish to participate.
