Mindfulness Meditation Centers offer crystal-clear meditation instruction and guidance at all levels, from beginners with no experience to those interested in advanced retreats and practices. Each center provides high-quality meditation instruction supplemented by both weekend and long-term retreats.

All of the teachers at the center are accomplished Western practitioners, knowledgable, and have substantial experience in deep meditation retreat. Our teachers provide both group instruction opportunities as well as individual guidance, and focus on essential mindfulness practices from learning non-judgmental attention, stress reduction, calming the mind, to insight meditation and compassion practices.

The principal meditation focus is mindfulness of breathing, breaking the reactive cycle of craving, and recognizing and riding out destructive mental states. All meditations are instilled with loving kindness, compassion, joy and equanimity. As you focus on the heart of the instruction, you will find that your practice deepens and that you have an increasing capacity for focused calm attention, and clarity.

Weekly classes are on-going and each has a purposeful & intentional focus with a changing emphasis of exploratory topic. Classes usually include a guided meditation. Every meditation session begins with development of calm abiding. The second part of the meditation session uses the calm mind as a base for insight and the development of discerning wisdom.

 

People may enter the classes at any time, with any level of experience, or from any meditation background as the teachings are non-sectarian, non-hierarchical in nature - all are welcome.
