Benefits of Mindfulness Meditation

Mindfulness is the essential skill that leads to the ability to live a happier, more peaceful life. We have tried to pursue happiness through many external means like careers, families, hobbies and more. The challenge with these pursuits is that they are constantly changing and our happiness is temporary. So we chase and consume more and more experiences in a futile attempt to maintain an unattainable goal.

With mindfulness meditation, we learn to familiarize ourselves with this situation through coming to terms with the internal landscape. The recognition of the impermanence of all phenomena is the first step in learning to transcend the craving of happiness through external pursuits.

As mindfulness increases, we develop tha ability to enjoy our lives and pursuits for what they are. Changing phenomena can be experienced and enjoyed in the present moment and the craving is reduced. This leads to a happier, more joyful and peaceful life.
